Gameplay[]
The game consists of two main modes of gameplay: in "Music Game", the player controls a pinwheel with the stylus to catch the melody lines as the song progresses. Three minigames also appear without notice in this mode: "Basketball Tap", "Spinning Flower Bubble Catch" and "Melody Dropper". The second main mode is "Quiz", where the player answers a series of questions and finds out which Wildcat they would be best friends with. Completing levels on both modes unlocks autographs, photos and memorabilia for the Yearbook.

IGN gave the game a score of 7/10 and stated: "High School Musical 3: Senior Year makes a serious effort to be a fun and original game, and Griptonite Games deserves credit for that. It uses a unique control scheme that is fun for the most part. However the controls are tricky, making it hard to really excel at the title, and younger gamers may become frustrated if they can't progress. It feels like the developers held back and played it safe with the title".

- Despite the song We're All in This Together appearing in the third movie, albeit as the slower "Graduation Mix", the version included in this game is a cover of the original version from the first movie.
